Wholly H2O is calling on watershed lovers and citizen scientists to help survey the Wildcat Creek Watershed that runs from Tilden Park in Berkeley to the Richmond, California, shoreline. Through April 18, 2018, it will be hosting citizen science BioBlitzes, with volunteers helping to survey the watershed section-by-section, uploading results to an iNaturalist project, the Wildcat Creek Watershed. When the BioBlitz series is complete, collaborating artist Ian Winters will turn the observations collected into a sight and sound performance.
The next BioBlitz takes place December 10, 2017, at 8:30 a.m. at Jewel Lake in the Wildcat Creek Watershed. Interested volunteers are invited to join into the data gathering and should register here.
