On Saturday, February 21, 2015, the Tibetan Association of Northern California (TANC) is hosting a Losar Celebration in honor of the new year. The event will include inaugurating the new altar created by master woodcarver Penpa Tsering for TANC’s new center in Richmond. A prayer session and the installation of new prayer flags along with other important cultural items will begin at 9 a.m. Tea and Dresil will be offered and monks from all Buddhist sects are invited to offer prayers on the day. All are welcome to attend.
