Artist Rene Yung and the San Francisco Maritime Museum collaborating on Chinese Whispers: Bay Chronicles, an exploration of the untold stories of Chinese immigrants to the San Francisco Bay Area. With a project team of artists, scholars, and Maritime Museum staff, Yung will sail on Grace Quan, a replica 19th century Chinese shrimp junk, to sites of former Chinese fisheries. Events at three fishery sites and the project team?s research will culminate with an installation at the Maritime Museum?s Visitor?s Center.
