On Sunday, September 8, Alphabet Rockers and Our Family Coalition are celebrating the recent release of The Love at Oakland Pride. Created for and featuring youth, The Love explores love for and friendship and solidarity with others regardless of their gender expressions and identities.
The concert will take place in the festival’s “Family Garden” at Franklin and 21st in the Kaiser Parking Lot. While The Love performances are at 1 p.m., Alphabet Rockers and Our Family Coalition have sponsored the stage from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., sharing the platform with other LGBTQLIA+ performers for kids.
