Los Cenzontles is presenting the new short film, “Tata’s Gift”–developed through a collaboration among animator Dionisio Ceballos, artisan Marie-Astrid Do-Rodriguez, and writer/musician Eugene Rodriguez–on October 12 at 3 p.m. at Red Poppy Art House in San Francisco. Featuring original digital animation, folk art, and music, “Tata’s Gift” tells the story of a boy who finds strength and resilience in his family’s cultural heritage as he struggles with bullying in the video age. Los Cenzontles will perform live and will screen “Tata’s Gift” along with other short videos. Families are warmly invited.
