Over 18 months, Mark Brest van Kempen has been collaborating with Arts Benicia to integrate public art and public dialogue into the process of waterfront development in Benicia. His first project, “The Biolabyrinth Raingarden Project”(see image above) was presented in March and April on the waterfront. From May 20 through June 13, he will present an installation at Arts Benicia based on further investigations. The project culminates with an exhibition in the Arts Benicia gallery that runs June 14 through 28 with a reception on June 20.
