McNally Jackson Independent Booksellers is hosting a free online conversation among writers Linda Norton, Eileen Myles, and John Keene, on Thursday, December 10, at 3 p.m. PST. The McNally Jackson staff writes, “In conjunction with recent and enduring publications such as Wite Out: Love and Work, For Now, and Counternarratives, these renowned authors will discuss the intersectionality of their work and reflect upon the act of writing in our country’s current climate.” Find a link here to the free event.
Norton’s latest book, Wite Out: Love and Work, published by Hanging Loose, was influenced by Home and Away, her Creative Work Fund collaboration with Peralta Hacienda Historical Center, which looked at the impact of incarceration on community well-being in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland.
