On Saturday, February 13, at 2:00 p.m., the African American Museum and Library at Oakland is hosting the opening of Patricia Montgomery’s Heroines of the Civil Rights Movement. An accomplished fabric artist, Montgomery has created quilted swing coats for each of the heroines represented. The exhibition will be on view until March 25, 2016.
