Los Cenzontles Mexican Art Center, in collaboration with animator Dionisio Ceballos and artisan Marie-Astrid Do-Rodriguez, has created a short, animated film, titled “Tata’s Gift.” Featuring original animation, folk art, and music, “Tata’s Gift” tells the story of a boy who finds strength and resilience in his family’s cultural heritage as he struggles with bullying in the video age. The project will premiere at Los Cenzontles Cultural Arts Academy on Thursday, September 25, at 6:30 p.m. The evening will feature a live musical performance by Los Cenzontles, a Q&A with the artists and musicians, and a reception with food and beverages. Persons interested in attending should contact [email protected] by September 22.
