Written by Evelina Fernandez with Teatro Vision, Departera is an original bilingual play that addresses how members of the Bay Area Latinx community today bring meaning to the moments when they confront death and dying. Through a development process led by Elisa Marina Alvarado, the artists drew themes for the text and musical score from stories contributed by community members.
