On Saturday, June 23, at 11 p.m., Brontez Purnell‘s film, Unstoppable Feat: The Dances of Ed Mock, will be screened at the Victoria Theatre as part of Frameline‘s annual San Francisco International LGBTQ Film Festival. Developed through a collaboration with The Lab, Unstoppable Feat incorporates interviews and archival footage of the influential choreographer and teacher Ed Mock, who died in the 1980s. While they never met, Purnell sees in Mock a kind of mentor — a queer, inventive, Black dance artist. Tickets are available.
