Julie Caine, collaborating with KALW Public Radio, has invited listeners to record and forward iconic sounds of the nine Bay Area counties, which Caine is shaping into Audiograph–sound portraits of our region. Currently the project is airing both as a weekly “sound of the week” game, and as longer, produced feature stories. All of this material contributed by listeners and collected by Caine will become building blocks for even more complex pieces. (Graphic image by Rich Black.)
