On Saturday, June 8, at 6:00 p.m. The Grand Theatre Center for the Arts in Tracy, California, presents the premiere screening of HOME, a documentary by Anné M. Klint, which traces stories of foreclosure and displacement collected by the artist from Tracy and the surrounding community. A related gallery exhibition opens at 7 p.m.–also at The Grand Theatre Center.

Klint has served as artist-in-residence at the Grand since October 2012. Traveling throughout Tracy, she invited residents, business owners, and community leaders to participate in a media-based project exploring the stories and impact of the ongoing economic depression and housing crisis in Tracy. The documentary and exhibition capture a multitude of personal recollections.  Klint’s exhibition, Inhabit Your City: Voices of Tracy continues through July 20. Gallery hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The project includes a gallery talk by the artist on Saturday, July 13 from noon to 2 p.m. This project was supported by the Creative Work Fund with special assistance from ArtPlace.
