In 2019, Jewlia Eisenberg was funded by the Creative Work Fund to collaborate with the Contemporary Jewish Museum (CJM) on an immersive musical and visual installation inspired by the Bible’s Song of Songs. That project halted when Jewlia died in March 2021, but the Fund is supporting the work’s continuation in her honor. The CJM and her artistic collaborators are producing a tribute to Jewlia on March 6, 2022 to honor her life, music, and legacy. Special musical guests from around the country will gather for the occasion. Watch the CJM website for details.
Jewlia’s research, music, and partnerships also also are being sustained through “Queering the Song of Songs” — three virtual gatherings on October 24, November 21, and December 19, 2021. You may sign up here. For more information, write [email protected].
