Formed through a collaboration among director and choreographer Erika Chong Shuch, composer Janet Kutulas, playwright Michelle Carter, and Kitka Women’s Vocal Ensemble, Iron Shoes transforms Eastern European folktales into a futuristic folk opera. Its run at Shotgun Players has been so successful that it has been extended twice — most recently until May 6. While most performances are sold out, the theater runs a wait list each evening and generally some rush tickets become available.
