Border Cantos, an exhibition developed by composer/sound artist/sculptor Guillermo Galindo, photographer Richard Misrach, and the San Jose Museum of Art, has opened at Crystal Bridges Museum of Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. The project features images by Misrach who has photographed the United States-Mexico border since 2004 — documenting both landscapes and objects left behind by migrants — and sound-generating sculptures created by Galindo from items Misrach collected near the border, such as water bottles, spent shotgun shells, ladders, tires, and sections of the border wall itself. Special tours of the exhibition are offered March 1 and March 3, 1-2 p.m.
