On Friday, June 27, at 7 p.m., Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) is hosting the conversation “Standing in Their Truth: a presentation/conversation with Dee Hibbert-Jones, Nomi Talisman, and Rhodessa Jones,” moderated by Patricia Maloney of Art Practical. The event celebrates Hibbert-Jones and Talisman’s residency at YBCA, where the are working on the interactive dimensions of Living Condition, an animated film about the families of prisoners on death row. The artists credit their collaborating organization Community Resource Initiative with helping them gain access to and the trust of the families featured in their project. Admission to the discussion is free, but seating is limited and registration is recommended.
