As part of the celebration of its 35th anniversary year, on March 29 the San Francisco Girls Chorus is presenting Noye’s Fludde, a rarely staged 20th century masterwork by Benjamin Britten, at Temple Emanu-el in San Francisco. Britten’s work was developed from a 15th-century mystery play and is based on the biblical story of Noah. Richard Wright and 19 other artists of Creativity Explored have created artworks representing all manner of real (and imaginary) animals that may have boarded the ark. These pieces will be worn or carried by the choristers for the performances. Tickets are available for the 8 p.m. performance.
