On Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., the African Advocacy Network/Dolores Street Community Services and Duniya Dance and Drum Company along with Bissap Baobab are producing the first San Francisco African Street Festival between 19th and Capp Streets at Mission Street in San Francisco. The festival organizers invite the public to come to enjoy intense, free dance performances. For their Creative Work Fund project, Bongo Sidibe collaborated with African Advocacy Network to create an original work featuring performances by African artists now living in the Bay Area.
