Chhip Chhoun, who has been collaborating with The Bridge Community Center of Modesto (a program of Sierra Vista Child and Family Services), has announced a cultural fair that will mark the culmination of his Creative Work Fund project on Friday, June 6, from 1-3 pm at The Bridge, 605 Chicago Avenue, Modesto. Mr. Chhoun and other Cambodian elders have focused for three years on playing together, providing a platform for Southeast Asian musicians, and passing on their traditions to younger generations through a regular schedule of classes and demonstrations. The June 6 fair will feature Cambodian dancers and traditional musicians, Lao and Hmong dancers, and other presentations.
