On Saturday, August 10, at 5 p.m., sound artist, musician, and composer Hugh Livingston is previewing a limited edition of his river opera, Stages of the Russian River, at Warnecke Ranch & Vineyards in Healdsburg. Following the curving intersection of Brooks Creek and the River, the opera will move from glade to glade, using natural features of the landscape to define the stage. Tickets are limited and should be reserved in advance. Livingston’s river opera builds off of the site-specific sound installations he created in collaboration with Russian Riverkeeper with support from the Creative Work Fund.
