What happens when the woman you just fell in love with leads you to the edge?  What happens when the soon-to-be President of the United States is so mired in melancholy that he can’t get out of bed?  Clearly, this is terrain that can only be navigated by a clown.  Circus artist and solo theater veteran Sara Felder’s Creative Work Fund project–a collaboration with the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center–leads us from the Civil War to a Lincoln look-alike convention to the top of UC Berkeley’s Campanile in a new comedy about love, war and coloring outside the lines.

The production, currently in previews, runs Saturdays at 5 p.m. through June 27, and Sundays at 7 p.m. through June 28. Performances are at The Marsh in San Francisco.  Special programming includes:

Sunday, May 31 at 4 pm:  ”Lincoln’s Blues and “That Fatal First of Jan’y ’41” with author Joshua Wolf Shenk
Sunday, June 14: Bring in the clowns!“  with Jeff Raz of the Medical Clown Project.
Sunday, June 28:  “Queer Issues and Mental Health” with Able Christian of N.A.M.I. (National Alliance on Mental Illness)

A detailed schedule of performances and tickets are available through The Marsh.
